On 7/6/1987 1, the vessel SAMAR VICTORY (Official Number 225835) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in NEAR ALERT BAY ,BROUGHTON STRAIT, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 28 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
