On 3/23/1999 , the vessel GLACIER CEE (Official Number 189534) was involved in a risk of sinking in 4NM W. OF DUVAL POINT, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 3 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 3/30/1999 . Weather at the time was reported as with winds from the E at 30.00 knots.

A landing barge being utilized as a log salvage boat took on water in heavy seas. Pump provided by CG Port Hardy lifeboat. Vessel later escorted into Port Hardy.
