On 3/17/2018 , the vessel SAGE AMAZON (Official Number 18088) was involved in a person (crew member) physical incapacitation in Port-Daniel-Gascons, QC, QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 19 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. There were 1 injuries and 1 fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

On 17 March 2018, the bulk carrier "SAGE AMAZON" reported its Master having fell on the main deck and having sustained head injuries while the vessel was anchored 3 nautical miles SE of Port-Daniel-Gascons, QC. The local fire brigade, the Canadian Coast Guard and the National Defence were all dispatched to conduct search and rescue operations.
