On 11/16/2003, the vessel CAPE DARNLEY (Official Number 1804) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in FRASER SURREY DOCK, NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).
The vessel, with 21 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations.
There were 2 injuries but no fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
On 16 November, 2003, the Marshall Islands reg. V/L "CAPE DARNLEY" alongside at Fraser Surrey Dock, discharging 20 ft. containers, inadvertantly lifted a 2nd container when the locking device failed. The container fell on deck injuring 2 stevedores.. Damage to the vessel was indicated as MINOR
