On 10/16/1987, the vessel GOLDEN HOPE (Official Number 1542) was involved in a person seriously injured or killed - in contact with any part of the ship or its contents in 130 NM WEST OF CAPE SCOTT, VANCOUVER ISL, B.C.,.

The vessel, with 18 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.
