On 12/12/1986, the vessel PROJECT AMERICAS (Official Number 12716) was involved in a collision - with another vessel or other floating object in BTWN MILEPOST 4 & WHARF 3,WELLAND CANAL,ONT.,.

The vessel, with 20 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 4/3/1987 1. Weather at the time was reported as overcast with winds from the W at 5.00 knots.
