On 4/30/2005 , the vessel ODIGITRIA (Official Number 12497) was involved in a total failure of any machinery or technical system in GRONDINE, QUE., QUEBEC (QC).

The vessel, with 24 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/18/2005 . Weather at the time was reported as overcast with winds from the E at 11.00 knots.

On 30 April 2005, the vessel ODIGITRIA lost its propulsion when a bearing overheated on the shaft between the main engine and the propeller. The vessel has been towed to Quebec City for inspection and reparation.
