On 12/26/1988, the vessel SEKI REX (Official Number 122389) was involved in a striking - allision with a fixed object (striking - includes berthed/docked vessels) in PUBLIC WHARF, SUMMERSIDE HARBOUR, P.E.I.,.

The vessel, with 19 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 6/1/1989 1. Weather at the time was reported as snow with winds from the NW at 15.00 knots.
