On 6/30/1997 , the vessel NIL - 18' LOBSTER BOAT (Official Number 104104) was involved in a sank - founders (taking on water above the waterline) in OFF CHAPEL POINT, N.S.,.

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 11/14/1997. Weather at the time was reported as clear.

Vessel swamped while loading lobster traps. The two POB's swam ashore and were reportedly unharmed by the ordeal. The boat was towed to shore by another fishing vessel and was back in service the same day.
