On 4/1/1999 1, the vessel INFINITY (Official Number 1031059) was involved in a sank - founders (taking on water above the waterline) in WHALE CHANNEL, B.C., BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC).

The vessel, with 2 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was pollution.

Fishing vessel ran aground, became holed and took on water. Several non-SAR vessels assisted with pumps. F.V. was refloated with assistance of tug and salvage barge with crane. Vessel later secured in Goat Harbour.
