On 7/14/2001 , the vessel ATLANTIC PREDATOR (Official Number 0821623) was involved in a sank - flooding in 170 EAST OF CAPE BAULD, NORTHERN PENN. NFLD, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR (NL).

The vessel, with 0 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was unknown pollution.

This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 10/11/2001. Weather at the time was reported as fog with winds from the N at 6.00 knots.

At 2355 on 14 July, 2001 the F/V "ATLANTIC PREDATOR" with 7 POB issued a MAYDAY indicating she was taking on water. At 0406 on 15 July, 2001 a SAR Hercules sighted a flare and the crew was rescued from a liferaft by another F/V. No injuries reported.
