On 5/27/2002 , the vessel BRETON DRY-DOCK#1 (Official Number 0800702) was involved in a sank - flooding in OFF CHANDLER, BAIE DES CHALEURS, QC, QUEBEC (QC).
The vessel, with 7 persons on board, experienced the incident while engaged in regular operations. Fortunately, the ship was able to continue its voyage. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and there was none pollution.
This incident was officially recorded by Transport Canada on 5/28/2002 . Weather at the time was reported as clear with winds from the SW at 6.00 knots.
The tug "TONY McKAY" reported that one of the four dry dock sections broke away from the tow. This forth section sank some 21 hours later ESE of Chandler (Quebec) in position 48 10N; 064 23.1W. No pollution reported.
